FAQ: Note Stacks – Export or Share Notes

1. How to export note to text file or share a note?

Steps on how to share notes.

Step 1: Export or Share
There are three options to share the notes. Long press on the title of the note to bring up the options.

Options:
1. Export – this will export the note to sd card in plain text. The exported file can be found in
free version – /sdcard/data/com.gwofoundry.notestacks/text
paid version – /sdcard/data/com.gwofoundry.notestackspro/text

2. Export (markup) – this will export the note to sd card in plain text with markup. When imported the note will have the same layout as the original. The exported file can be found in
free version – /sdcard/data/com.gwofoundry.notestacks/markup-text
paid version – /sdcard/data/com.gwofoundry.notestackspro/markup-text

3. Share – Select the program that you want to share the note in. The note will be in plain text.

Step 2: Copy files
Copy the files to the appropriate folders in the other phone
Plain text –
free version – /sdcard/data/com.gwofoundry.notestacks/text
paid version – /sdcard/data/com.gwofoundry.notestackspro/text

Markup text –
free version – /sdcard/data/com.gwofoundry.notestacks/markup-text
paid version – /sdcard/data/com.gwofoundry.notestackspro/markup-text

Step 3: Import files
To import the exported text from option 1 and 2, select ‘Import Text’ or ‘Import Text (markup) from the MENU hardkey.

Import the note one at a time.
You may need to create new labels for the imported notes.

    Hour do I move items from one folder to another?.

    Is there a easy to change our edit the folder name?

    What I am trying to do is if I create items in a folder (stack) and I them want to move items in a stack from one stack to another, how do I do that?

      Hi,

      It is quite simple really.

      Change the label for a note
      1. Tap to edit the note.
      2. Tap on the “label” button in the view note where button shows the actual label.
      3. A label dialog box will be shown. Select the desired label.
